Tsuihousha (Outcasts, Exiles And The Banished)
Q:WHAT IS TSUIHOUSHA?
A: There are a number of different translations for the word Tsuihousha 追放
but perhaps the most fitting to this connotation would be "Outcast" "Exiled" or "Banished".
With the Junsei Ryu family is is sometimes necessary for an individual, individuals of even organisations to be cut off from
the main Junsei branch. This is the area of the Junsei website where such outcasts are named.
Q:WHY NAME INDIVIDUALS OR GROUPS AS TSUIHOUSHA?
A: Declaring any person as Tsuihousha is a genuinely troubling action for the Junsei
Ryu senior council, after all it highlights the failure of Junsei in helping an individual into becoming a better person;
but unfortunately human nature dictates that some "Bad Apples" will always appear from time to time. The main reason
for naming individuals is to distance ourselves from any wrongdoings, poor Dojo practices, corrupted technical methods, a
simple lack of respect for others of straying from the true Junsei path. We will not reveal any major details about an individuals
private life (unless not listing certain activities would be putting for example children or vulnerable adults in danger).
We will only list a statement of reasons that we have chosen to remove the said person or persons.

REECE SUTTON PHILLIPS
Mr
Reece Sutton Phillips of Market Drayton, North Shropshire has from the 26th January 2010 been officially named as Tsuihousha.
Both prior to and in the time following his departure from the Junsei Ryu (14th August 2009) his actions have on a number
of occasions caused damage to the integrity of the Junsei Ryu. Henceforth he is an outcast from both the Hankyo Kempo Jujutsu Renmei (Mainline
- Inherited By Dr. Ash McKee Shihan) as well as the Junsei line. He is stripped of all associated Hankyo and Junsei ranks
and titles, he has been removed from our lineage records; he is not and has never been Junseika (A student of Junsei) or Hankyoka
(A student of Hankyo) He is in our minds an outcast without clan or purpose.
The Junsei Ryu
Senior Council have taken this decision for a myriad of reasons but include the following eight points in their decision.
1) Openly Deriding Senior Junsei Ryu Council Members.
2) Not Defending His Rank And Ability When Formally Challenged
To Do So.
3) Not
Adhering To The Technical Application Of The Junsei Syllabus.
4)
Not Adhering To The Core Principles Of Bushido As Laid Out By The Junsei Ryu Senior Council.
5) Misinforming Both Current And Potential Students As
To His Lineage And Sensei.
6)
Placing Personal Financial Gain Above That Of The Students’ Progression.
7) Showing General Disrespect To Junsei Members
Who Far Exceed Him In Years Dedicated To Training (Regardless Of Their Grade) 8) Encouraging
A Sporting Application Of Technique Within The Dojo, Rather Than That Of A Combative One.
Reece Sutton Phillips
has now gone on to found his own martial arts association named "Valor Ju-Jitsu Association". We stress that this
group is in no way associated with the Junsei Ryu or any of its affiliate associations. Techniques taught and demonstrated
within this group should not in any way be considered to be techniques of the Junsei Ryu.
