Aikoushin Kobujutsu
Renmei
The Aikoushin Kobujutsu Renmei holds itself as a bridge between the ancient and the modern; and prides itself on
its traditional approach to the martial arts using a combination of both traditional and modern methods of training. Students
study a combination of Jujutsu, Kempo and Kobujutsu to create a comprehensive system of martial arts, adaptable to almost
any situation. Thanks to the panic caused by recent UK laws regarding martial arts practice with weaponry, the ancient styles
of weapons based application are fast dying out and being replaced by sporting forms only useable for displays and demonstrations.
Join the AKR and learn to adapt yourself to any given situation, appropriately and effectively with both armed and unarmed
forms of self-defence.

Shunryu Kenpo Karate
The SKKA is a friendly, family run martial arts and self-defence club based in Sawtry, Huntingdonshire. The SKKA believes
in making self-protection and self-defence accessible to people from all walks of life. We are not about making hard men harder,
but in making normal people fitter, safer and more confident. Based
on Shunryu Kempo Karate - Shunryu Kenpo 隆館 拳法 (lit: Excellence, Talent, Capability, Skill &
Fist Law) should be considered an off shoot system rather than an entirely different method. However Shunryu Kenpo also draws
on Reality Based Protection as well as Modern & Traditional Kempo*. Shunryu Kenpo is made up of many cultures that influenced
its mother art. In actuality it is a combination of six cultures: Chinese, Japanese, Okinawan, Hawaiian,
American and now English. Shunryu Kenpo is also heavily influenced by the Practice of Zen Meditation 'Zazen 坐禅’
(lit: seated meditation). However this practice is not generally taught during our 'Public Classes' and is only introduced
to committed Kempoka during our 'Private Classes' held at the Shunryukan.

Rokotsu Ryu Ju-Jitsu
The
Rokotsu Ryu Ju-Jitsu system stands firmly between the ancient and modern ideals of combative Ju-Jitsu, taking the best from
both worlds, without diluting the need for tradition in place of combative effectiveness.
The Rokotsu Ryu Ju-Jitsu system
is headed by the system inheritor Dave Baker Shihan, who is perhaps best known for his Aikoushin Kobujutsu system. Dave
Baker Shihan inherited what was then known as the Freestyle Ju-Jitsu System after many years of training, before changing
its name to Rokotsu Ryu Ju-Jitsu as a more accurate reflection of his traditional application of classical Ju-Jitsu.
