Welcome to the official website for Friends, Associates and Members
of the Junsei Ryu Bujutsu Renmei. The Junsei Ryu Bujutsu
Renmei 淳精流武術連盟 is a system of Gendai Bujutsu (Japanese Warrior
Arts Founded Post 1869) specialising in the application of traditional Bujutsu in its many varied forms.
Junsei Ryu is an organisation born out of the necessity for a
more traditional methodology that is currently and increasingly being missed and ignored by modern Jujutsu (Ju-Jitsu / Jiu-Jitsu)
systems in the place of grappling and sport orientated Jiu-Jitsu and MMA (Mixed Martial Arts).
As a national martial arts organisation Junsei Ryu specialises in teaching non-sporting martial
arts of Japanese origin; some of the Bujutsu (Traditional Martial Arts) styles
offered by Junsei Ryu include but are not limited to the following.

柔術
Jujutsu (Self-Protection, Throws, Wrestling & Restraints)
拳法 Kenpo
(Kicking, Punching, Striking & Pressure Points)
武器術 Bukijutsu (Traditional
Japanese & Okinawan Weaponry)
Also Known As
古武道 / 古武術 Kobudo
/ Kobujutsu
抜刀術 Battojutsu (Rapid Drawing Techniques Of The Japanese
Sword)
剣術 Kenjutsu (Fighting With The Japanese Sword).
Because
the Junsei Ryu system is neither taught nor practiced as a sport, we don’t enter competition fights or teach sporting
versions of our martial arts. Our martial arts techniques are all taught in their pure undiluted form.
It is the ultimate objective of Junsei to preserve, protect and promote the disappearing cultural, philosophical, traditional
and combative methods of Bujutsu; to which end the organisation strives to establish support, development, friendship, mutual
cooperation, growth, education, and promotion of traditional and combat Bujutsu throughout the UK and beyond.

As a national entity Junsei Ryu can also recognize and register any number of Bujutsu styles
and families, as well as establishing martial arts seminars and training camps throughout Britain.
As well as supporting the international Jujutsu community,
Junsei Ryu also recognizes, supports and registers international Bujutsu teachers and students by validating their skills,
and knowledge based on the International Recognition System of Membership and Rank Validation, Recognition and Promotion.
Three such examples of affiliated organisations, chosen for their individual skill, honour and passion
for the traditional are the Shunryukan (Kenpo), Aikoushin Kobujutsu Renmei (Kobujutsu) Aka-Ryu (Jujutsu) and Kaizen-Kai
(Atemijutsu) details for which can be found on the Links page of this website.
